YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk has recently taken to the social media platform Instagram to answer fan questions regarding Black Pink’s upcoming comeback.  On his post, the CEO shared a screen shot of a conversation regarding the possibility of an album release, rather than a single. This is a transcript of the conversation:

Q: Please release an album... not just digital singles... they have been active for so many years yet there's no album.

YG: You are right, a hundred times. It won't be like that this time around.

Q: Let's confirm the date first, before thinking things in advance!

YG: Yes... it has been confirmed for mid-June.

Q: Stop it with the preparations...For how many years has it been like this.

YG: I apologize... as much as you waited for us, we we able to come up with many good songs. We will make it up to you.

Black Pink, stylized as BLACKPINK or BLΛƆKPIИK, is a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment, consisting of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa.

The group officially debuted on August 8, 2016, with their single Square One, which spawned their first number-one hit, "Whistle." The single also included "Boombayah," their first number-one hit on Billboard World Digital Songs chart, which set the record as the most-viewed debut music video by a Korean act. With the group's commercial success in their first five months, they were hailed as the New Artist of the Year at the 31st Golden Disc Awards and the 26th Seoul Music Awards.
