Hit Director Baz Luhrmann Commends BTS & Teases Chances of Working Together

Hit movie director Baz Luhrmann talked about the success of BTS and their cross-cultural impact in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. When discussing his future plans, Luhrmann (the person who directed hit movies like 'The Great Gatsby' and 'Romeo + Juliet' talked about K-Pop and BTS stating how amazing it is that has come as far as it has (to international audiences). He points out how BTS played in Citi Field stadium (which has a capacity of nearly 42,000 people) and that even though a majority of international audiences don't know Korean that well they still come out to these concerts. The director showed his admiration by saying 'So I really admire what they achieve'. The directer had attended the  Citi Field BTS concert last year and even got to meet the group taking a picture with them. After being questioned on his future plans to work with a K-Pop group Luhrmann teased the interviewer with an open ended answer by saying, 'Yeah, well you that's...' Hopefully, some kind of collaboration is in the works!
